We are so proud to have won best non-spirit drinks having had the judges out for a tasting experience at the farm. They looked at the profile of a range of our products along with the design and ethos we follow.

We also took the award for Innovation and Diversification with the Dorset Cider Farm. A new addition back in 2021 to our farming enterprise and a place where people are invited to come and try our ciders and learn about our craft.

Finally, Joe took home a highly Commended award for Rising Star as business owner forging ahead and building a cider company with strong foundations and firm grounding in its ethos and team.

A little bit about the awards:

In 2018, Love Local Trust Local was created by the Cossin family to bring something back into our local community that many felt had gone missing: trust.

As producers, business owners and customers, we’ve all seen growing confusion around labelling, sourcing and provenance. We see products marketed as local or British, decorated with flags, logos and claims that suggest one thing — yet when you look closer, the reality often tells a different story. That’s misleading, and it’s unfair to the people working hard every day to create, grow, raise and produce goods with care and integrity.

Many well-known schemes and labels started with good intentions, but over time some have lost their way. Too often they’ve become more about paperwork, scale and pleasing big retailers than protecting the interests of independent producers. They’re no longer truly producer-led, and they don’t always reflect the real value of local skill, craftsmanship, time and investment.
